Booking Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all bookings made for the Checked Out Marbella event, operated by Spacey International Limited, in partnership with the Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club.

Checked Out / Spacey International Limited (“we”, “us”) provides the on-site experience and programming. The total price you pay is for a single combined package that includes your accommodation at the Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club (the “Hotel”), participation in the Checked Out experience, and all scheduled meals, snacks, drinks, and included group activities.Your booking contract and payment for this combined package are made directly with the Hotel, which collects the total package price on our behalf. We do not sell flights and we do not take payment from guests for accommodation. Accordingly, ATOL/ABTA protections do not apply.

1. Eligibility & Admission

Checked Out is a curated experience exclusively for solo guests.

Admission is by acceptance only — we operate a strict selection process, and your booking confirms that you have been accepted.

To attend:

  • You must come solo (not with a partner, group, or unregistered friend),
  • You must be over 18 years old,
  • You must accurately represent your name, age, and profile information (such as Instagram or LinkedIn),
  • You must not transfer or gift your booking to anyone else — bookings are strictly non-transferable.

If you misrepresent yourself or breach the solo guest requirement, you may be denied entry without refund.

2. Identification Requirements (Spanish Legal Compliance)

In line with Spanish hotel and security regulations, guests must present:

  • A valid passport or national ID card (not a driver’s license),
  • and may be required to confirm their home address, nationality, age, and signature at check-in.

These checks are mandatory for hotel admittance. Failure to comply may result in denied entry without refund.

3. Payment, Deposit & Extras

By checking the booking confirmation box, you agree to proceed with your booking for the stated stay and price. This price is for a single combined package that includes both your accommodation at the Hotel and participation in the Checked Out experience.

Once your place is confirmed with us, the Hotel will either:

(a) send you a private payment link to complete your booking directly with them, or

(b) provide you with a link to their booking portal along with a rate code to access the Checked Out package.

Payment must be completed directly with the Hotel within 48 hours of the Hotel sending you the payment link or portal access. Failure to make payment in full and on time will be treated as a breach of these Terms and Conditions, will result in the automatic cancellation of your booking, and may result in you being declined for future Checked Out events.

Your booking contract and payment for this combined package are made directly with the Hotel. Spacey International Limited (“Checked Out”) does not take payment directly but is responsible for delivering the experience element of your package. Spacey International Limited is not a party to your accommodation contract and does not act as the travel service provider.

Except where the Checked Out experience is cancelled by us under Clause 8, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including no-shows, cancellations, or denied entry due to misrepresentation. While we will always do our best to accommodate unforeseen issues, refunds cannot be guaranteed due to the extensive planning and arrangements required to deliver this event.

Travel (including flights or transfers) is not included.

Extras: The program includes accommodation, all scheduled meals, snacks, drinks, and included group activities. Anything outside of this — including minibar items, spa treatments, room service, or food/drinks outside the official program — is payable by the guest directly to the hotel.

Deposit: On arrival, the hotel will require a €150 card deposit to cover any extras outside your Checked Out stay, such as room service, spa treatments, or laundry. This will be refunded according to the hotel’s policy, minus any used charges incurred.

Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival, with checkout by 12:00 PM on the final day. While the experience runs across three full days, room access follows standard hotel timings. Luggage can be safely stored with reception before checkin and after checkout.

4. Activities & Participation

All activities - whether wellness, sport, outdoor, or otherwise - are optional and undertaken entirely at your own risk.

Checked Out and Spacey International Limited do not accept any liability for injuries, health issues, or losses arising from activity participation.

5. Media, Photography & Filming

We’ll be capturing content, including photography and video, throughout the stay for use across Checked Out and Spacey International Limited’s platforms, including:

  • Promotional materials
  • Social media
  • Website
  • Press or branded content

We’ll always aim to be respectful. If you do not wish to appear in any content, you must let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to exclude you from shots.

All media content is the sole and exclusive property of Spacey International Limited. No compensation will be provided for such use.

6. Conduct

Guests are expected to:

  • Respect fellow guests, hotel staff, and the environment,
  • Adhere to the retreat guidelines and schedules where applicable.

Excessive intoxication, illegal substance use, or actions that endanger yourself or others will result in immediate removal from the event.

Guests who breach conduct expectations or disrupt the experience may be removed from the event without refund.

7. Room Allocation

Room types and assignments are determined by the organizer and the hotel. While preferences can be noted during booking, they are not guaranteed.

8. Cancellation by Organizer

The Checked Out experience is curated, organised, and operated by Spacey International Limited. While we are committed to delivering each stay as planned, Spacey International Limited reserves the right to cancel or postpone a session in exceptional circumstances — including unforeseen operational, logistical, or external challenges.

If we cancel the Checked Out experience before it begins, refunds for the full package amount will be processed by the Hotel in line with our instructions and refund policy.

Please note, we are not responsible for any additional costs such as travel or accommodation outside the official program, and we strongly recommend taking out personal travel insurance.

Spacey International Limited reserves the right to withdraw or reallocate unpaid bookings at its discretion.

9. Force Majeure

Spacey International Limited will not be liable for any delays to the program or failure to perform obligations under these Terms if caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to: Acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, public utility failures, or extreme weather.

The Hotel operates its own force majeure terms in relation to accommodation; please refer to the Hotel’s policies.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

By booking, you agree that we may store and process your personal data for the purposes of administering your booking and delivering the event, including sharing necessary details with the hotel and event partners.

Your data will never be sold or shared with unrelated third parties.

Where payment is taken directly by the Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club, Spacey International Limited will share your booking details (excluding payment information) with the hotel solely for the purpose of completing your booking and arranging payment.

11. Liability

We are responsible for delivering the Checked Out experience with reasonable care and skill.

Your accommodation contract is with the Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club, and any issues relating to accommodation, facilities, or services provided by the hotel should be addressed directly with them.

Spacey International Limited is not responsible for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings,
  • Health issues, injuries, or accidents during the stay,
  • Costs or losses incurred due to denied entry or early removal from the event,
  • Hotel booking portal errors, payment link failures, overbookings, or service issues beyond the scope of the experience element.

For clarity, we do not sell or arrange flight-inclusive or package holidays, and ATOL/ABTA protections do not apply.

You are strongly encouraged to take out your own travel and health insurance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.
